Membership entitles each member to a copy of the yearbook, free attendance to the regular meetings and the privilege of exhibiting in shows. General meetings are held the last Monday of each month at 7:30 pm at the Cannington Baptist Church. No general meetings are held in January, February, July, and August. Flower shows are also part of each meeting and give members an opportunity to showcase their own floral, vegetable and design items. However during the pandemic with Covid restrictions we may have to make adjustments and possible changes to in-person meetings vs online. Please check the Meeting page for details for all upcoming meetings and events.
The Society's program consists of speakers offering information on various horticultural subjects, annual plant auction, open gardens, flower, vegetable and photographic competitions, and the civic beautification of our villages.
Visitors are always welcome to drop by a meeting and see a guest speaker for free. There is a nominal fee for returning visitors.
Special 2022 Rates:
We realize that the pandemic lockdown has upturned life and work. To accommodate for changing financial realities CHS is using a sliding scale for our Membership Dues this year. All rates are offered at a discounted minimum up to the regular annual dues from 2019. We are also suggesting that those who have been less affected by the lockdown may wish to add an additional ‘donation’ with their Membership Dues which will subsidize the Dues for other members. We are all in this together and we look forward to our first meeting online in March.

We accept cheques or etransfers for membership dues and look forward to
