There are a variety of civic gardens within Cannington and Sunderland, as well as the large planter boxes on the main streets in both towns which CHS maintains. Join a work bee date to help plan, plant or maintain and care for our beautiful community gardens.

A walking trail with entrance on the east side of MacLeod Park - which connects into the Beaver River Wetland Trail. In 2019 the committee has added new signage to the trail and a replaced a wooden bridge. Join the effort and add to this walking trail.
Committee sets out show schedule for the season and assists in setting up and hosting each floral show at our monthly meetings. Organizing judges and maintaining records of show results.
This committee designs and creates our annual yearbook - using info provided by the board. All work is done in January and February in order to have books ready for our members by March. If interested in assisting for next season please contact current board.
Committee works through a variety of medias to connect with members and the public to expose our events, meetings and activities. Facebook, web page, advertising, newspaper, etc. All part of tasks for members on this committee.
Social Committee organizes and creates the wonderful treats and refreshments served at each of the monthly meetings held at the Royal Canadian Legion. If you like to create in the kitchen this may be your committee - we are currently looking for more help in this committee - please join!
We are always striving to plant new trees in our community. Watch for upcoming opportunities!
We have set aside funding for a new native tree planting project - be part of the committee and get involved in this future project!
Spring Planting 2024 completed - over 100 native trees and shrubs planted.

Our club undertakes a variety of opportunities to raise funds for all the many activities our club manages.
